Some more sweet pics

Here's a few more Boom Kinetic pics for ya

Sweet Pics and Sweet Shows

You're probably seeing some sweet new pictures popping up on our various sites. These would be courtesy of Stephen Hunton...of course you can check out his website at

Take a look.

Stephen also provided some additional vocals on our upcoming EP--we're giving it a working title of "Math and Science".

We're looking foward to a fun week with Powerhouse Party on the Patio (Fayetteville's hottest party on the patio) on Thursday starting at 7pm and Grub's World Tour of Grub's II Show Three coming up on Friday starting around 10pm.
Hey! We also want to mention we'll be opening for Three Six Mafia on October 24th at the Fayetteville Town Center...that should be pretty sweet.
Stay tuned for more updates

Boom Kinetic Wraps Up Recording

We're done. Four long days tracking at Crisp Recording Studios in Fayetteville have left us with four excellent songs. Of course, that stuff only exists as a collection of 1's and 0's on a computer hard drive.

Now, producer Dave Wilson will take that computer data back to Nashville to begin mixing. We hope we'll have it all done in the next couple of months.

Again, big thanks to Stephen Hunton for the pics.

Last night we had a photo shoot with Stephen Hunton. Awesome! Check out his stuff

We look foward to posting those pics as soon as they're ready.

We've got two shows coming up next week....Powerhouse and Grub's on Thursday and Friday respectively.

Boom Kinetic Recording at Crisp Studios in Fayetteville, AR--First Day Detail Report

Ok, here's a little more detail on what we accomplished yesterday.

We put in a good 10 hours yesterday tracking bass and drums on eight songs.

Now, we're working on kind of a dual, Boom Kinetic originals..the other, a second Zach Gump project.

If you haven't had a chance to check out Zach Gump's first album "The Well Runs Dry" you're really missing out. Here's a link
You can also go to iTunes and search Zach Gump. Really good stuff.

Bass and drums are finished on all eight songs (4 B!K, 4 ZG) and we started on tracking keyboards on the B!K song "The Way". It sounded amazing and we haven't even laid guitar or vocals.

You got to throw out a big thanks to our producer, Dave Wilson. He flew in from Nashville, TN to do this.

Today, we're planning on tracking guitar and maybe throwing down some vocals...we'll also finish a good chunk of the keyboard tracking. If all goes smoothly, we'll be well into vocals tomorrow.

Second Day in The Studio

We'll be spending most of today recording. Still lots of fun.

Boom Kinetic Best Band in Arkansas

The votes are in and it's official…Boom Kinetic is Arkansas' favorite band—this according to the readers of Celebrate Arkansas. The band, formerly called Molten Lava, has set the state ablaze with their high-energy 80's pop cover and original music shows taking in the highest number of votes in the Arkansas monthly's reader's choice survey. This should come to no surprise for Natural State music lovers who have, first hand, witnessed the band's record setting shows at venues like Fayetteville's Party on the Patio, George's, and Little Rock's Rev Room.
But what does the Boom do in their down time? Another key to the band's success lies in the private show sector--weddings, golf tournaments, birthday parties, corporate events, etc. in every corner of Arkansas from Pine Bluff to Stuttgart, Searcy to Ft. Smith. It's likely there's not a person in Arkansas who hasn't seen the band perform. And there's more to come. Boom K boasts private bookings straight into late 2009.
